It’s been 3 days since that fateful meeting in the gardens, and within that brief period of time, I was able to gather enough data about Suimoto Haruna.
Apparently, she’s just your average teenage girl. She lives with her mother and has an older sister that was currently working abroad along with their father. She has decent grades and a fair number of friends. There was nothing special about her really. Except that she’s a fujoshi and has obsessive compulsive tendencies that I happened to find out on our first meeting.
Plain-Jane Suimoto Haruna, that’s what I thought until... we met again.
I was taking a casual stroll in the school gardens when I saw her sitting on a bench near the sunflowers, sketchpad and pencils in hand, scribbling furiously.
I decided to approach her from behind to see what she was so serious about.
“What are you doing?” I ask.
“Sketching.” She answered briefly, successfully dismissing me.
I found her reaction quite amusing, so I decided to press her even further for the sake of conversation… or maybe just to tease her.
“What are you sketching?” I ask her, a playful smile bordering on my lips.
“Someone’s back. Now can you please go? I can’t concentrate.” She snapped, successfully dismissing me again.
I took a peek at her sketchpad and I couldn’t believe what I saw.
She was drawing… me, my back to be exact, and there were a lot of them. There was something different about each drawing though. She kept adding in small details, and it seemed she just couldn’t get it right no matter how hard she tried. I guess that’s why she was so frustrated. I couldn’t help but smile at my new discovery.
“Is this okay?” I call out to her.
She snapped her annoyed eyes at me before her mouth formed a small ‘o’ in surprise.
I stood at the exact same spot in her drawings where she saw me leave. I turn my head back to her, smirking.
“Is this okay, Haruna?” I ask her again.
